how 'pro' do i go ?
« on: December 01, 2006, 05:11:24 pm »
just wondered if any of you good people can help/advise ?

i'm new to the w/c game and looking to invest money into wfp.
i've done a  couple of training days at the BWCA(trad and wfp) and decided i'm gonna go for one of the ionics range.Due to a redundancy payout i can afford either pro5,pro6 or pro7.so the questions are:- is there anybody out there who has used both systems or can advise on them?
is the pro7 worth the £1000ish difference between that and the pro5 ?
                                 if so why ?
under good advise from another forum i wont be buying anything untill i have established that there is a good potential customer base in my area ;D !

thanx

I'm trad and know nowt/little about wfp except they're bleeding pricey and no-one buys a Ferrari until they've passed their driving test.

Sound advice from the other forum. Check the market for biz, start trad (minimal expense) and later decide whether to lash out £ks on wfp.

Oh and good luck!

Welcome to the forum, Carey.

From your post, it seems that when you attended the BWCA courses you've been 'sold'  the choice of three WFP systems.

But there's many more to choose from.  This is a competitive market and my advice would be to do some more research and shop around.

Why not put a post here asking what the best system is for your requirements?

good words from tosh

of course the BWCA will favour ionics, they are the same company, do they tell you that on the course ?? ? ??

loads of options out to buy

you could even build your own, loads have, they work well and save you ALOT of money,

my advice would be, build your own, stick your redunncy in the bank for when you are building up your round (its slow to start)

<-------------- E.mail me for a link on a DIY build site, just have a look at it and the DIY forum, then you can decide with your eyes open and save THOUSANDS of ££££

Carey, While there is nothing wrong with the Ionics system the way you asked your question suggests to me that you could do a bit more research before you jump in.

Try and get some hands on experience if you can, even if it means buying a secondhand trolley system or a backpack. A few weeks out and you will have a much clearer idea of what is important

Why not put in your location and ask if anyone near to you would let you look over their set-up? Maybe they'd let you have some "hands on" for a morning.

If you want to stand out from the rest and have the money to burn, nothing comes close to The Reach and Wash System!!

I dont want to be dragged into a debate here, please note were I said "have the money" its like anything. Why get a psp, when you can have an x-box 360 or why buy a ford feista when you can afford an M3.

Funny, when someone is looking to buy WFP all the suppliers pop up and the
majority of the time Tony is first ;D ;D

If you have the money and can afford it then it's your choice, the only thing
I would advise is the running costs on an Ionics system is a lot more than
any other system.

Check your TDS then decide what system you need, beware a salesman will
give you all the blog etc.. But when you start hitting problems you tend to
find the help stops so as Davie says try and find someone local to you who
has WFP.

Hope you make the right choice.

Too right.  I don't blame the guy   ;D  .  If I sold systems, Tony would be racing me to be first though.
