Back to Schools!
« on: November 28, 2006, 04:33:18 pm »
Thought I might have a go at doing a few of these to pay for my WFP set up. I've done a few quotes for WFP outside but have been asked to do inside quotes too. Was just wondering how much to charge. Should I charge more than I quoted for the outsides? Does it take longer? Or should I charge less, thankful for the indoor work for a change? :) What do you fellas do?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave, I do our local primary school (trad). It's one storey and takes 1 hr on the out and I charge £30. Then they asked me to do the in so I said £50 !!!

BIG BIG MISTAKE...on the out it's dirt, but on the in it's finger paint, cellotape, prit-stick, food and God only knows what else....anyway 4 hrs later I'd finished!

Draw you own conclusions.

When would you do it, as I dont think they would want you to do it while the kids were in class . So that would leave you  weekends , or after school finishes at 3 ish.
I did one last year( internal ) I did it while they were off for half term

i have done our local junior school for past 2 years, only clean it twice a year.just recived cheque for last clean, only £80 and its quite a big school, but with cheque was a letter requesting that before i clean it again i must produce a method of statement of how i manage risk working at hights off ladders, and a certificate of ladder training.

now i have explained to them yet again that i use wfp, even showed them my movano and all the kit, makes no difference, they want a ladder certificate end of.

to be honest for £80 for a school that big its realy no loss,i have found cleaning schools to be a bit of a pain.but to need a ladder certificate when i dont use one  ???
