I hate a lot of the new properties as they stick railings in front of the windows, have balconies upstairs and set back, A lot have no rear access.

Exactly what I mean Paul.

I never bother with those horrible depressing new estates.

Awkward windows.
Characterless lego houses with no gardens.
People who think they're something special with their credit card car and massive mortgage. Sad false prats. ;D
People are never in because they both have to work all hours. ::)

You can keep them, I'll stick to nice old villages with nice old people.
Spot on! I never touch 2 bedroom or new homes, I leave them to the traditional w/cleaners who want to undercut each other!!!!!!!!!!!!
Losing a customer is like waiting for the next bus, another one will come along shortly!

I've also never had anything but problems with those new faceless housing estates.

While there's work elsewhere I stay away from them and anyway, that's where would be window cleaners seem to go when they start up window cleaning. That means very cheap prices just as we did when we started up.

Cheers

If they are starter homes with new buyers they'll have hefty mortgages which are going up in interest at the moment. Xmas looms too. So the w/c gets "dropped til spring".
It's a game of three halves!

even if you get three our four in the estate just ride it out as the cheap guys dont bother in winter  and slowly build on it  flyer about a 2 mile radius at the same time
becase when these new home owners drive out the estate they see you  ,and when the new guys let them down its you they will stop and ask
its all in the mind you know

Estates are perceived as easy pickings. High volume houses and constantly changing owners.

I personally don't operate in estates, I got sick and tired of cleaning a house to be told when I collect, oh I am a new owner, never asked for my windows to be cleaned so not paying !!!!!

However, I know of two very lucrative areas near me that are estates, so I am not type casting all areas, its just my personal belief.
