guys was wondering what size of yellow pages advert you have and used over the years and what do you find is value for money when it comes to replies from your advert, is it worth the extra going big
any replies appreciated

I have a three liner. Cost about £150 for 18 months or thereabouts.
I've had a fair number of enquiries but I don't even get as far as quoting on most of them. No fault of yellow pages but I live in a town where there are a huge amount of terraced houses without back access. Sprawling council estates which were crammed in to take the London overspill after WW2.
Of the enquiries, I currently only have two regular jobs from the ad. I've had a lot of enquiries for one off work. That's fine while I have gaps in my work anyway but will not be viable once those gaps are filled. I've done a few quotes on work that I've heard no more about as well. Trouble is that when someone looks in a directory, often they will be getting a number of quotes and going with the cheapest - even though that's not always the best policy.
I find that I do get a number of end of tenancy cleans from it (again - one off work).
The ad has probably paid for itself by now but I would like more
regular work from it.
