I just wanted to say how pleased I am with my new hose ramp from restormate ( John Kelly)  ;D

Its just the right size, very lightweight, but strong.

And its cheap  ;)

They are made of reinforced marine ply coated with line x and are non slip too.For the price of them it's not worth messing about getting them fabricated

I've been considering getting a few of these but I've got one question about them...I can see you using them on pavements to allow the public to get past, but if for example, you're on a one way road and you can't park on the correct side of the road but there's a space directly opposite, can they be used as ramps for cars to get over the hoses if you decide to have them going across the road??

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Dave, we supply the hoseramps. Although they are extremely robust and do take the weight of a vehicle I don't think they would be suitable for use in the way you envisage. Constant vehicular traffic would eventually have a detrimental affect as it would to any of the commercially available ramps. They are designed for footpath use to enable prams, bikes and motorised wheelchairs to negotiate your hoses safely.
For road use I would recommend rubber mat types similar to those used on temprary traffic light cables and the such.

While on the subject does anyone know where I can get a cheap ramp (New or secondhand) for getting a heavy porty in and out of a van?

Has anyone made one?

A picture of the ramp in use. Gives a better idea of its size.
