Last week i was asked by an old neighbour of min'e who is a property developer to clean some marley tiles. I do his rental house carpets after the students move out, and as a hobby he builds houses, lives in them then sells after a year so he doesn't pay tax.

He has just paid out £330000 on an old bungalow in three acres of land in some beautiful countryside which he intends to live in while he builds a house further back into the meadow that will sell for £800000 after the bungalow has been knocked down. The tiles are about 30 or so years old, but they cleaned up quite good. I said to him that in some places there were some unshiftable marks, to which he said, not to worry as he was having carpet laid down over them anyway to make it mre livable.

Mind you, if ou seen the state of the bungalow and garden, you wouldn't want your dog in there.

I wish i knew this before i started as i wouldn't have grafted so hard :(
