just watched it joe ,

how sad,
and what a bloke, i said to my girlsfriend not so long ago,

that we will hear of his death soon because of his bravery with wild animals....little did we know it would come from a stingray

god bless him. and his family..... and the tribute from your son is outstanding.

mixed here too,

think he was pierced through the heart with the stingrays barb, as the stings are not lethal.

great movie,  "what a guy he was" I always admired his energy and zest for life I guess he knew he would get caught out sometime though, the stingrays barbs will paralise muscules  so hit in the heart he had no chance. very sad    RIP Steve

Joe I don't usually get involved with Jeff's forums, but when he showed me Gary's tribute to Steve Irwin, I thought It was outstanding and the choice of song to accompany it, was also outstanding. well done Gary, an oustanding tribute to an outstanding man.    RIP Steve.

Great movie clip!

What a sad loss. He was a 100% genuine nice guy and by gosh he knew his job inside out. Big respect to him.

Still can't believe It happened especially In those curcumstances.

The moment he died was actually filmed ,
and is going to be shown on the telly sometime.

That should be interesting,in morbid sort of way,
apparantly he always told his film crew

never to stop filming
even if he was being chewed up by a crocodile ???

I dont think it'll be something his wife would ever allow, they have two young children remember.
