TM Problem.
« on: September 21, 2006, 06:49:54 pm »
Hi All,
Been using an electric pump with my B&S Vanguard 16HP Engine, like as I said on my earlier post, the engine kept cutting out. However the electric pump was getting quite hot and making a loud clicking noise, both of which I didnt like. Anyway I got a new B&S mechanical pump and fitted it today - guess what, same problem, keeps cutting out after a few minutes. I can keep it running by keep squeezing the priming bulb from the tank, but thats no use. I am now thinking its something to do with what operates the mechanical pump, i.e. vacuum from the Rocker Housing, but am mistified as to what it could be. Any ideas?
