40 and ova!!!!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

 you've no idea what you're in for!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

It really does look so easy sometimes, get 2 bags of sugar, hold them at shoulder height, arms length for as long as you can, if you can only manage 3 hrs or less forget going over 40ft!!

uh ok its not that bad, but its still hard work at that height.

Hi Andy,

Can I ask why your looking for this height reach?

40ft + is a demanding working height both physically and mentally. Physically due to the stress on your body and the constant weight issues and mentally in terms of what work you will be targeting.

If you are concentrating on domestic then a 18/22 ft pole would be adequate. If however, you're looking for commercial then you will need some experience to understand everything that is involved in this sector.

Best wishes,

AndyP,
I came into working for myself the same way, good luck to ya,
not had a lot of experience of other poles but when my ex boss supplied us with new brodex ones ( think we had ott or omni before that and they were bendy) they seemed lighter and were definately more rigid and controllable, but I guess that were a couple of year ago and the market has evolved since then , sure other people on here will recommend other poles too.

if you want to go over 40ft then I'd suggest looking at brodex ecolite carbon fibre/gardiners supalite.

Carbon fibre fishing poles used originally  since January this year bend a lot less and are more rigid than anything else out there and are lighter than anything else out there. So the poles you are used to using must be made of something else.
Everyone has their own preference so you will not get one overall answer as to which is the best.

90% of my work are hotels that are all 4/5 floors high, for this i use a 40ft carbon pole.  whilst it is "harder" than cleaning houses, as they are smaller, it isnt that bad.

The poles i make are made of carbon fibre. due to the way the material is produced, the poles are lightweight and strong and also they are "slimline". the biggest diameter of a 7 section 56ft carbon pole is only 44.6mm wide.

whatever pole you buy, i would recommend getting the best you can afford. ive seen alot of people try to save a few pound by buying cheap poles, which sadly dont last long, and are not "user friendly"  ::).

Also IMO you are more likely to make better money on higher buildings, as they are prepared to pay more for having the cleaning carried out, plus you find you are saving alot of time compared to someone who would be cleaning off ladders or cherry pickers etc.

Hope all goes well for you!  ;D
