Hi all, my jets keep getting blocked and I am wondering should I be cleaning them after each day and if so how should I do this?? My last set I cleaned out with a pin and this was not the done thing the man in the shop told me!!

I've never had to clean my jets ! do you you liquid or powdered detergent ? If so are mixing it up properly as this can cause blocked jets

It could be powederd detergents ( if you use them) as they can cause blocks if not fully disolved, but thats not usually a problem if you have a mesh filter in your tank pre pump.

Also machine has'nt be use for some time (or is older) is'nt it hard water near you ? it may be limescale breaking lose so might be a idea to descale it.  More information as to age, maker, type and history of machine would be help diagnosie the problem.


If it happens again I find a tooth brush invaluable for unblocking jets and not damaging them.

I carry fuse wire to unblock jets, a 5amp wire will fit through most jets without any force

you can buy inline filters that fit just before the Q/C  which will usually solve the problem.

HI, machine is about 5 months old, sabrina maxi. I am in a soft water area and use liquids.

That's because jets are brass and are soft metal and pins are hard so you might enlarge the jet if you really poke it about.

got to admit i am stumped check your in clean tank filter to make sure no debrise such as leaves ect is getting into the pump.

If your solution hose is a few years old it could be degrading on the inside, causing small particles to block the jets.

It could be limescale build up. You can purchase descaler from your chemical supplier

Do you use the same bucket to fill your machine as you do too empty it? That would cause that.
 
If not use an inline filter as Mike says.

check ........really check the inline filter, as they can look ok, at a glance, but can be completely blocked with fine carpet fibre
