hello all, i have been thinking about having a website however is it really worth it do any of you get much business from it, also how to you get your websites in to search engines sorry but havn`t got a clue

A website is a good professional touch... But, it only really does it's job if you market it properly.

It's not that easy to get listed within the generic listings on search engines, but you can use Google adwords etc... for pay-per-click advertising which can work.

I am not in window cleaning business, but can tell you that I have had few jobs from yell.com.

If you do go with yell.com i would get them to build your site. I know someone that had his website made by someone from yell.com and i think it was rubbish. They seem to charge a lot for not much work.

 But as far as advertissing with them goes - for window cleaning, I dont really think it does much, but for commercial jobs, it does make you look much more profesional, and established.
