« on: July 21, 2006, 06:13:41 pm »
today whilst passing by, i noticed 4 guys washing one window, why does it take 4?

daft question but, for one basic ordinary sized shop window.
got me puzzled.

It was only one man going very fast, it can look a blur and some times looks like 4 or even six men.

Lynn,

Was it Motorworld in Bulwark, near Chepstow?

I used the clean their windows, but there was clutter and shop items everywhere, so I told the manager I would quote a lot more if I had to shift the merchandise myself.

The manager promised me his staff would do it for me; so I quoted him for the cleaning of the glass only.

It never really worked out like that; his staff gave the impression that they just couldn't be arsed; despite my requests for the stuff to be moved; so one morning I got a 'bag-on' after cleaning half a large shop window, stuff in my way, and just walked off.

About a month later I saw about three of the staff and the manager cleaning the windows and it looked like a heavy-duty operation.

I do two of the shops next door to him, so they must see me regularly.

That'll teach the blighters.

I guess the window cleaners you saw, were the shop staff.

Tosh, Batterbee,
nope watched them pile out of a transit with window cleaner signage on the van.

out came one ladder, 4 blokes & blade and pole at the ready,
just a basic window about 12ftx12ft.

Tosh

I get around that problem by starting my shops at 6.00am and clean the most awkward ones first before they have the chance to get there stock out
