Immersion heater in 250 litre tank
« on: November 08, 2019, 04:59:50 pm »
I've got immersion heaters installed in 500 and 650 litre tanks had them for the past 6 years and work great. My question is I just installed a 250 litre tank is it possible to have a 3kw element in the tank or will it melt as the tank is very narrow on the width

Id definitely go 2kw to be safe.

You won’t need it on for too long, so make sure you have a timer switch.
