pure water filling stations
« on: January 19, 2019, 11:36:30 am »
just been having a nose about looking at the pure water filling stations  found a site which looked quite good just for emergencys they charge 3p per litre  but most of there places are down south ish although on there map review there are plans for them to be all over the place looking at the map it looks a bit over ambitious.

These stations are a good idea I suppose, but I would NEVER allow my business to be dependant on something like this.

If you’re dependent on them and can’t get water for any reason (eg breakdown etc) then  you can’t work.

Far better to have your own contingency in place.

For example, I use a 4040 RO system.

I have a spare membrane and prefilters all set up ready to switch to at a moments notice in case there’s a problem.

As well as that, I have a large DI vessel that can purify water straight from the tap that  I could use in case both RO units failed.

I can’t imagune allowing something as essential as water to be in someone else’s control.

must admit I have to agree the other option was to hire a hydrant key but depending where you are its a expensive job my water provider wants £500 quid a year for as much as you like but another provider wanted the same amount .plus water usage the stand pipe has a meter on it.
