i had trouble opening a business bank account & only place to take me on were bank of scotland ! i don't have any problem with them so far although i have to use a drop box in halifax or over the counter & wait a few day's until b/o/s get it.
dad has had problem's with natwest years ago & barkleys seem to be doing ok for him !
i'd stay well wide of loyds as i opened a b/a with them & couldnt close the account even tho i never used it & ended up with charges of over £300 which i never payed & cc me

Hi

I moved at the end of last year from Nat West to the Bank of Scotland No charges at all and I get good intrest on the account as well.
My manager is Sinead Sheridan on 01314551090 she will let you know all the in and outs of it, I get on very well with her let her know I recomended the Bank Bob Jennings Home and Business Clean.

All the best

Steve

Abbey only problems here! You are limited (business account) how much you can draw out in own go, which I found out last year ???, also you can’t deal with the staff in the branch, but to be fair to them, wife has a account (personal) with some one else a bigger night mare we need £1600 like now £300 cash point and only £1200 over the counter and it had to be in that order, we needed £1600 who’s money is it! ;D

See Lloyds TSB are doing a deal pay a cheque in your get interest strait away.

Don’t forget your passport/utility bills

I changed from the Nat West a few years ago to the Abbey......saves me £££££s a month and free. If your not too big it's one of the best to look at.
Never had a problem ;)

All these Banks that offer free banking are great only down side is if you have an over draft they don't want to know you.

I am with Bank Of Scotland and I telephone bank also send cheques to them via post, no charges, interest on my money and a £500 overdraft if I want it.

Missus ( dry cleaners shop) is with Aliance and Leicester, she can take in or take out cash at Post Offices, no charges and interest but not sure about the overdraft.

Missus and over draft are two words that do not fit together Shaun
you should know that.

I think the problem is most of the banks are as bad as each other. Been with Nat West, Bank of Scotland, which by the way you can now have a business account at a Halifax branchs through them. Got to say didn't have many problems with them, however now with Barclays as I've had a business account with them since I started. I'll see how it goes but may switch back to BOS (Halifax) next year.
