Air Filtration
« on: June 26, 2006, 08:53:37 pm »
Hi all, went to look at a light coloured wool carpet yesterday with obvious filtration staining, i prepared my self before i went with a search on the forums and (becuase i had some) i decided to give Ultrapac Renovate a go (was concerned with PH but previous posts seem to think this would be ok), i didnt have any problems as such expect that it wasnt as effective as hoped, after diluting to recomended levels, spraying and allowing dwell time, agitating with sebo, then by hand and extracing with the spitfire i did improve the staining but it was still visable, can anyone advise where im going wrong?, as a newbie im allways keen to learn solutions to these problems so any advise that could be given with regards to product/method would be much appreciated.

p.s My apologies if you have seen this post elsewhere, im trying to get a good range of possible solutions from as many people as possible.

Many thanks

Filtration soiling doesn't always come out. Always explain this to the customer first.

I normally use One Step Zap It, then move on to Ultrapac Renovate if I have to.

I've also tried Prochem Filter Out, which seems to be ready to use Ultrapac Renovate. You can't do much more, but make sure you explain to the customer first.

Aqua magic

If you dont cure the problem and you go ahead and clean, it will eventually come back. Email me if you need to know how to rectify.

prochem do a product specifically for this now called 'filter out' give that a try.

i find it can come out but takes alot time and effort if there alot,

spray stain remover/filter out all along draught marks, brush in with a hand brush, spray with your jets on hand tool or wand all along (without extracting) or can brush in at this point,

then run along finally with extraction. it works!!

prevention is seal floor from sub floor ventalation, ie; news paper under joints in underlay, and i have heard of silconing under skirting, not sealing entire gap but were floor boards meet the wall.

Hi Guys,

I still use Ultrapac Renovate , haven't tried Prochems Filter Out but did try MS , which wasn't as good as the Ultrapac.

Cheers

Like Andy has said. You should fix the problem first then the cleaning side is easy and it wont come

back again. Dont fix it and we arent offering much of a service are we? Best, Dave.
