Membranes
« on: September 30, 2018, 04:50:27 pm »
My RO has two 150 GPD membranes. The current ones are two years old. Is this average for them?
we have a high tds coming in and I flush before each production.

My pressure has shot up and production slowed down, reckon they’ve gone and ordered two new membranes from Daqua.

Why don't you order an upgrade kit with an extra membrane, housing, hose, T pieces etc and turn your r/o from 300gpd to 450gpd. The upgrade isn't expensive and will give you a 50% increase in product water.

Might be advisable to change your flush valve as well these can get "calcified" up and reduce the waste water forcing some back into the pure, I have recently changed mine and my post membrane TDS dropped by 50percent. also if you do the extra 150, ( I have), upgrade, you might need a higher pressure flow valve.

Thanks Phillip, I change the lot at membrane time. Filters, membranes and flow valves. Will also do the flush valve this time, thanks.

Its time I gave this up! Just checked my system and the waste shut off valve was closed, hence high pressureall working ok now!
Ordered the membranes filters and valves!, anyway got them for when I do need them.  Silly  old Combat.

Are you really 67?
That’s funking ace.

Bet you don’t change your prefilters often enough.

Really 67, feeling40! Thank goodness for WFP. I think my 10 year old son and a partner 17 years younger is keeping me going.
