Hi,

the machines running great, I have no complaint with it, at all 

But, I seem to be a bit missing 

When changing the engine oil on this machine, I  am supposed to have a 12 inch length of pipe with a nut on one end, and the other end is screwed into the engine oil drain hole.

This makes it easy to change the oil, you just put the pipe into a container, undo the nut on the end, and the oil drains out , nice and easy, no mess.

I aint got one on my machine  

So this means that when I change the oil ( its due now) I have no space to put ANY KIND of container under the hole, and so it will pour out,
all over the T/M !  

The pics below are of the pipe that I need ( the one pictured is fitted onto the water pump) and also the engine oil drain nut that it should be attached to
( you can see that the nut is flush to the base of the T/M)

Any ideas on how I can change the oil without making a bloody mess !

The parts been on order from Woodbridge for 3 weeks now, and its still going to be at least another 10 days, so I will have to do this TWICE before I get the correct part  !

If I understand correctly and I am not sure if I do....you have a nut or similar into the "block" and it is

this you need to take out and in so doing release oil all over the place. If so get another nut to fit the

same hole, drill it out and then rinky dink some sort of pipe on the end of it. Then take out the offending

 one and put in the new one a bit quick.  After all thats all you are

going to get in the post from your supplier....... I thought you have had your truck mount for a while

now, surely you should have changed the oil by now.......what are the change intervals? Best, Dave.

your local hydralic pipe maker could make that pipe up for you easily, sorry dont know who is local to you Pirtex is a national company but not always that helpfull. suggest you use a vac pump to empty the sump via the dip stick tube (halfords sell them and fit the part then.

regarding pirtex i went to one of my local ones [ which shall rmain naimless for obviuous reasons] and he fixed my cfr hose which had sprung a leak immediately for £20 cash. mabe worth a shot
