Must be a right pain if you are - particularly since most of us have been unable to work for the last week.

Lol, if it rains for the rest of today (it looks like it will), we'll be flooded.

Our electrics have been off since 7 last night and just came back on at 12.00 today.

Its scary how we rely on electricity as well. No heating, no lights, no computer, no internet, no hot water for coffee, no transfer pump, no water produced as the power went off just after it started and the solenoid valve closed up shop. No fuel at the garage, no shopping as the tills were off where the power cut affected.

I did think at one time how ill prepared we were for a power outage and had thought of a 5.5kva generator as a worthwhile addition but nothing came of it.
Maybe we need to go back to a gas cooker as the lady next door was still able to get by.

I had to run the car this morning to put some charge into the battery of my mobile phone.

Would an inverter in the back of the van helped?
