Never done it myself but apparently you can use 1inch hose pipe with hozelock fittings which are 1 inch but connect to normal sized hoselock fittings.

What you need is the correct size pipe then you shove this in each end.....

Then you can screw these on (1inch version)

I think the internal hose pipe is 19mm

That may not be the best way or even correct but i think thats how you would do it.

Thanks guys, it’s just for the piece of hose I run from the tap to the van port and then inside to the 4040, I’ve got some cheap crap b and q stuff in there at moment and can see little half kinks and thought to myself either get some quality 1/2 braided or look for something that has a very slightly bigger bore that I can still fit tap fittings on too!

You need 3/4 inch hose.

“Normal” garden hose is 1/2 inch.

3/4 inch hose is a bit bigger and allows much better flow.

Terra Plus garden hose 3/4" 50 m https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007MAQ7LM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_9AdtAbMX9D6CG

You get standard hose lock type connectors for it like these:

I don't get.

You still want to use the same fittings on different size hose?

No basically the half inch hose I use is poop it kinks very badly and I fancied something with a very slightly bigger bore like a few mm if it was possible as I will still have the same size fittings on the ro or tank etc.
I seen a customer who’s a carpet cleaner and he had some hose in his garden that looked marginally bigger than 1/2 inch and I’ve not asked him yet what it but wondered if anyone else knew what size it could be on here?

You could try a local aquatic shop that does pond pipe work .

If your fittings are still half inch then a bigger bore hose tightened onto them will not increase flow.

If you have 3/4" 20mm hose and fittings you will get over half as much again much flow as half inch. (Draw a 12.5mm circle and then a 20mm circle and look how much more area you have for the water to flow through.)
It's a game of three halves!
