Am thinking it could be of use for wfp ?
For anybody ( like me ) who often work in busy streets where people are constantly trying to nip past behind you rather than where you can see them. I've lost count of the times I've stepped backwards into people or nearly whacked them in the face with my elbow or the butt of the pole. And yes, before anybody says it ..... that's with hazard cones and a hi viz on.

Nice thought barry , but i would rather save 15 notes and crack em with my pole .
They should look where they are walking , 9/10 will have their heads in smartphones anyway , muppets !
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

It amazes me how many people will walk up behind a workman with tools in hand, without a thought for their own safety.  It's not like the poles we use are the size of a screwdriver and easily hidden.  I caught a new customer in the face with the butt of the pole the other week.  Fortunately he was of the, "should have looked where I was going," mindset and made a joke about it.

I had a Muppet of a school kid come racing on a bike around a blind corner on the pavement  and smashes straight into me.

I did even think about having "I can't see you" printed on the back of a hi viz vest but bearing in mind people have tripped over my hazard cone that actually says " warning trip hazard " on it I'm beginning to wonder what's the fecking point ?!..........really gets to me though that people will try to walk behind me without me being aware and cannot even bother to say excuse me or when you stop what you're doing to let someone past can't even mutter a thank you - young mums with pushchairs seem to be the worst for this.

Brighton's terrible for this....and that's just the adult cyclists. When I've voiced my objection  I get sworn at . One day one of them is going to get knocked off and I'll relish that.
