Just had A call From A firm called "LINK A TRADE"  from Shrewsbury who were trying to sell me business card space in my local Wickes Superstore, The deal they offered was, they design the cards,you are allowed 4 design changes in the 2 year contract,  all the staff are trained to direct customers to the recommended services area, and that there would only be 24 businesses involved and no other carpet cleaners. For this service the wanted £11.75 per week plus VAT over 2 years,payable in 4 payments. I asked them to phone back in 1 hour, I checked the internet and this forum and could not find any reference to this firm
and thought it was expensive and would it pay for itself ? so when they phoned back I declined their services, they then said they could do it for £5.75 per week plus vat  ? WOW dropped by amost half. I somehow smell a rat and declined their services again.
Has anyone had a similar experience ?

From what I've read on here and heard from a couple of people business cards in stores just don't work, I would avoid it like the plague, Andy

Hi Guys,

Avoid all schemes like this , if you have money to waste send it to me

Try to think where you would find a tradesman from , firstly recommendation , then directories , papers , internet and leaflets .

All other advertising is a waste of money.
