Is my R/O system under performing?
« on: April 21, 2017, 09:00:59 am »
I have a 40 inch membrane with pre filters and a decent booster pump
The  Tds after the membrane is still fairly low so it's not knackered.
I'm  getting 1 litre a minute with the pump running at about100 psi.
I'd be interested to know what everyone else is getting from a 40 inch R/O.

Thanks

Terry

HF5 membrane, 4 1/2 years old, 50 psi tap water pressure, no booster, 2  x 20" prefilters one sediment and one Fiberdyne carbon block,   2 lpm pure with 2 lpm waste. Membrane running at 98% efficiency.

2   40x40. In line

Booster Pump

95% rejection at 60 keep 40 down the drain
We get about 450-500 litre an hour

After r/o it's between 003-008

Just had to replace  one today as it was over year old and tds was creeping up to about 18-25
