Hello cookie.

Just read you use wheelie bins for your water storage.

If they are outside how do you cope in winter regarding freezing conditions, i.e pond heaters?

Here's a link to a post i did today explains my curiosity.

Hi Lee, I don't use any kind of heaters. The winters in South West Wales have been so mild recently the worst I have had is a bit of surface ice on the water. Once the ice melts it will still be 0ppm.

I guess in theory if the water freezes solid it could crack the wheelie bin/IBC tank or whatever you're using, but I don't think we get these kind of winters in the UK anyway.
