Motor brushes
« on: May 29, 2006, 09:42:46 pm »
I know there are a lot of people on this forum who run Extracta Excels, and i was wondering whether any of you can tell me about a supplier of brush assemblies for the lamb amatek vac motor brushes, either the whole brush assembly or just the carbons, and a rough idea of cost.

I am repairing my machine which has run on one motor for a while, but as its only a back-up machine i have only just got around to it. If there are new starters out there who have this machine, while the machine is stripped down, i will take some photos of the assembly when the bottom plate is taken off and the motors are removed etc, and the different assemblies inside the machine. This could come in handy for somebody i'm sure as will how to change the brushes.

Has no one ever changed brushes on a motor before? Do you just replace the motor?

Surely there is someone out there who has. I hate paying inflated prices from the dealer.
