cleaning a house with a septic tank
« on: May 30, 2006, 10:59:19 pm »
bit of an odd question, but i have a customer who wants her house cleaned (obviously) but no bleach. I can see no bleach down the loo and plug holes, and i don't use bleach anyway, unless its toilet cleaner, or contained in a cif bottle (watered down)

what cleaning products are safe? do i need to go ecofriendly?

Thanks
lisa

Try a solution made up using Miltons, its a bit expensive but does as good a job. I find the Eco stuff just doesn't work as well.

Lots of bleach will stop the septic tank from working properly (by killing the bacteria that "eat" the doo-doo's)

Orange based cleaners are safe..........
