hi i live in essex anyone out there running a resin based wfp system in a hard water area.
I realise ro is the norm but due to lack of space was wondering how much resin would cost you a week say using 300 litres a day?
anyone out there doing this due to space prob's or just prefer simplicity.

to work out how much resin you need
500 000 / tds (incoming water)
This will give you an idea of the total volume (in litres) of pure water you should get from a 25ltr bag of resin.
My tap tds is 350 so I would get 1430litres. So I'd be looking a bag a week at 300ltrs per day.

Hi Lee
I use a 200gpd RO.
TDS into the RO 420... TDS out of RO.. 8. SO:
500000/8 = 62500 ltrs total pure form one 25 ltr bag of resin. 300 ltrs per day x 5 days a week = 1500. So. 1 bag of resin lasts me for over 41 weeks work per man. Actually its about a year because we use more like 200 ltrs per day per man.
Hope this helps
Andrew
