Insurance for T/M and Van?
« on: May 23, 2006, 07:35:07 pm »
Hi,
at the moment my van is insured with Norwich Union Direct.
I phoned them today to see if they would insure the new T/M. They said they wouldn’t, and also, that having a T/M in my van  would invalidate the insurance with them! ( unacceptable modification).

They said they new exactly what a truck mounted carpet cleaning machine was and its not something they will cover or allow.

So, if you own a T/M, who do you use to insure it (and your  van), please?

CIS Co Operative Insurance   08457 46 46 46

Not so cheap but they insure as a package, but can claim on the machine or van seperatly which is good plus all contents insurance on tools in or out the van plus low excess

Yes I have a Boxxer 421 in a Hiace swb. I would prefer something a little bigger, but it all goes in OK. Only prob is I can only carry 250 l's of water. But its enough for an average morning. I just have to go home have a sandwich while it fills up.
Have heard on the grapevine there is a new toyota van coming some time soon. Dont know details but hopefully a little bigger.
