water meters
«

I spoke to south west water today concerned about paying for the drainage water fee's of water I was using to fill the tank for my truck mount wich I was not putting to drainage at my property, so they have aranged to send an application form for a seperate water meter for my outside tap which I will not have to pay the darinage fee's for, sounds like a good deal,
Does any one else use this type of meter and what are your veiws, plus what stops me taking water from this meter for my domestic use
I also questioned the helpfull lady about hosepipe bans, she was under the impression but not totaly sure that carpet cleaning is not a essential use of water for domestic cleaning but is for health cleaning or where ever food and drink is consumed but with a stand pipe licence some situations are over looked

Sounds a dodgy move to me. What if someone twigs-hold on if he's not putting it down his drain wheres he putting it?
They might then hit you with a meter and a waste disposal license. I hope not but I would have let sleeping dogs lie.

Hi James,
I'm not on a meter and haven't heard about a ban yet! You're welcome to come and fill up from my hosepipe!
Jason.

It will cost you about £1.14 per cubic metre (1000 litres)

Thanks Jason do you mind if i bring a real long hose as well, about four hundred mile long
Ollie im paying £3.22 at the moment, so £1.14 is better, but hay im winging about pennies realy as it only cost £1.02p to fill my tank at top rates, but hay look after the pennies and well ive got more to spend in the pub,
John I think your right, I could never deceive them but it might work out cheeper in the long run even with a drainage fee

Jay
I have a water meter, but not through choice and i tred to get rid of it but couldn't. I mentioned to my accountant and she puts down a proportion of my water bill through my accounts so it evens things up a bit.
