Dilema
« on: April 04, 2016, 04:26:04 pm »
Afternoon all ,

I have a van with 600lt ionics system. I dont have a huge amount of customers but the ones i have are good payers with extra work on a regular basis.
So i have just started a specialist cleaning contract ( not windows ) and time is now limited.
Can the system be moved easily out of the van and used as static for as and when using a trolley system OR  is it easier to sell the van and system as one and buy water in when required and us a trolley system and also does anywhere in the east midland sell the purified water.  ???

Any advice would be appreciated guys.

Andy

You could take the filters off the van system and get an ibc tank for around £50 to use as a static system and leave the tank /pumps in the van ........or do you need the space in the van?

When you say specialist cleaning what do you need to put in the van aswell as sounds like the van is now to small?

I dont really need such a big set up to be honest, the gear i need for the new job isnt much, i would just do a few window jobs each month, so if i get a trolly set up it would be sufficient.
So downgrading to a small van like a combo i could put the trolley and some barrels in when required. The main problem is getting the water.

I defo would never go back to lugging water and a trolley about myself.
Think you will also regret selling the van especialy if your other contract goes tits up.

The system should just be bolted in under the floor so easily enough removed.

This is what I would do...
Sell the van & system as anyone  who is thinking of buying a bells and whistles ionic system may see it as a bargain,  recoup as much as your investment as possible then buy a smaller van with a  DIY  system as your new contract doesn't require too muchspace in the van.

OTHERWISE that's one VERY expensive static tank!

Also I wouldn't want to go back to lugging barrels as has been mentioned.

No need to be lugging barrels, get yourself a pump box or similar and use your hose as normal leaving the barrels in the van.
Remove the barrels hose and pump box when needed.
