I love it when they say leave it for a few months, always got much to do anyway and sometimes I think they do it on purpose to see if your face drops. Just keep smiling and say thank god I will be able to get all this work done  now no worries thank you, you have done me a favour. Always works.

I don't mind if they have a genuine reason eg going abroad for winter or builders are going to be working on house but wont be messed about so they can save a few pounds while I go without . My working day is 8 til 2 ish summer or winter so if they want to mess about then pick up someone else anyway want to cut back on work and have more time off .

I always drop summer only customers. It's my service and its 8 weekly. That's it. Oh, I'll do 4 weekly if it's easily doable and longer intervals on big jobs. I.e £150 plus.

I work differently to most on here, i.e. I work to a frequency that suits my customers, be it at 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12 weekly intervals. I also have others who phone me as and when they want a clean. It doesn't worry me in the slightest as long as I make enough money.

So if anyone wants to drop out for a few months, I just say 'no problem, give me a shout when you need me again'. I don't see the sense in turning away work if it's on offer and I can fit it in.

I suppose it depends on your financial requirements really.  Also, if all the work is very close, it's only a small journey to jump out of sequence.  If I allowed that, it would add a lot of miles driving to my yearly expenses.  If find that it's better to supply a time interval (I aim for 6 weekly).  If someone wants it less frequent, it's 12 weekly and they pay more.  That way, it's every time around or alternate times around - when I'm in the area anyway.  I have some larger jobs at differing intervals, but they are big enough jobs to justify a special journey.

no i havent got any customers that cancel til summer.the only customer who ive put on hold til feb is a customer whos gone to australia for 3 months.they will get charged a first clean price when i do them again followed by their normal 4 weekly price thereafter.

as for frequencies.mine are mainly 4 weekly and 8 weekly with a scattering of 6 weeklies.the 6 weeklies are away from the runs of work that are 4/8 weekly so no going back down the same roads  in between different frequencies.

im virtually always on time on my jobs barring holidays abroad/xmas break.in other words im rarely behind with work.
price higher/work harder!

If you have plenty of work(which most claim to have ie swap one customer for another) why would you not accept a summer only clean if the price is vastly increased? most of us cant keep to schedule in winter so do longer days in summer, surely if a customer who is say 15 pounds a month accepts they have to pay 22 pounds for a summer clean only, you will earn better money during the better weather ???
I would accept a vastly increased price but in my experience this type of customer won't want to pay. They want the price of monthly cleans for a spring/summers worth of cleans.

The reason I have a stress free window cleaning round is because I have trained my customers ...

I would just say I don't do that the only thing I can do is put you back an extra month as I clean all year round,if they are good payers I'll stick it back to 3 months and tell em by doing this you'll only see me twice in the winter.

The sad truth" when people want to stop in winter" is the customer don`t see us as a business. They don`t seem to think you stop living in the winter.  I
