3 heat settings, thermostat etc.
If you want to keep the tax bill down buy 2.  :D

Watch for condensation dripping into that second one though, a friend of mine had one blow up on him....well it died when water got inside, slight exaggeration with the blowing up part

I would rather go for something with a froststat. All one only has to do is to keep the van a few degrees above freezing. Coming to a warm, toasty van is a waste of electricity.

The froststat controlling the tube heater inside my r/o cabinet is set at 8 degrees just to be on the safe side.
Success is 1% inspiration, 98% perspiration and 2% attention to detail!

The older I get, the better I was ;)

a cheap oil filled radiator left in the van overnight is sufficient on below freezing nights
price higher/work harder!
