A bank will cover you for fraud. Online banking saves them huge sums of money. They far prefer to offer online banking knowing it's not as secure as it should be but saving them costs in wages and outlets whilst covering the risk of an account being emptied.

Matt the  wrong kind of people only need a small amount of info in order to empty your account their was a guy on BBC Breakfast news earlier in the week he assumed they had gone through his bins and gained some bank details account emptied ,He said it was nightmare to sort out .

Hardly anyone uses cheques and with only a small amount of people having access to bank details surely a fraud team could trace it but  if your giving thousands of people access to your account details then they wont have  a clue were to start and your money will be gone .

Yes banks  will cover someone for the fraud but at some stage will banks be  willing to accept a claim for fraud  when they have been given out freely and published on the web for anyone to look at .

Posts on this forum can be viewed by anyone without creating an account or logging in , Maybe i am just to cautious these days  ;)

Banks offer this facility knowing it makes our accounts less secure but they're the ones offering it. You can get the banking details of most business's online. Check out your utility companies.

They're pretty much on the ball saying that. I believe they use algorithms in the same way Google does. I've had a number of queries from my bank when I've made online transactions prior to them confirming it.

Someone who can hack secure websites wont need a code or phone call as the money in the account will have dissappeared before anyone knows
I totally get what you're saying but how come their is always someone on the news when a scam or hack has been revealed saying whatever you do, Do not willing give up your bank account details .

Enjoy your Sunday lads i am off to spend 2-3 hours detailing my new Truck only hope it gets warm enough to put a coat of wax on

They're referring to pin numbers and online passwords.
