Hello pal, was just reading about the way you charge your battery every night.
Have you thought of getting a spilt relay charger fitted.
Just an idea.😀

I've recently converted to a split relay and like yourself only work within 5 miles of where I live. However I find it still keeps my battery fully charged though I do take it off about once a month to give it a full trickle charge!
