Done that, I was gonna buy some new clamps, just wondered if there were any cheats...

What I'd did with my clx with new type clips,eas remove,bolt from clamp,remove above pole section,get a small disc cutter,,grind off a small amount of plastic on each side of clip where bolt goes through,re assemble,job done,I did this four months ago no slipping to date
By grinding a small amount of clamp away,enables the clamp to hold section tighter
