What size tanks can be put in these models without pushing your luck.

this will be my starter van with a view to eventually upgrading to transit and 650 system.

The new combo lwb can hold 1 ton same as the new transit lwb  connect.
500ltr tank no problem.
The older models the payload is less.

NWH - I'm on a traders policy and insured for window cleaning use on any vehicle but phoned them anyway and they are ok with any modifications

Daz - I'm leaning more towards the connect. As long as its not pushing the payload the 500l sounds great. I had 350/400 in mind but an extra 100l is the way to go I think.

Cheers guys

danny the connect T230 is like a tardis inside!i was pleasantly surprised just how much room there was!the high roof allows you to fit a couple of pole holders(i use soil pipes from B&Q secured with zip ties)500L upright tank and frame fits in with ease with plenty of room left for trad gear, pumpbox, backpack, reel etc.i had mine fitted longways which allows you to fit stuff down the sides.

it pulls well with a full tank.im probably just under the payload limit first thing though but obviously it gets lighter as the day goes on.

mine has the mesh bulkhead which is great.also they have a shelf in the cab above the windscreen which is handy for storing stuff like gloves,caps/hats etc.2 cup holders and plenty of little storage compartments.

Daz do you work your hose reels out the back or side
Or do you have a manifold

Having only used Land Rovers for the last 12 years I bought a T230 connect in January. 500L lay flat tank (actually its 2 x 250 because they were flatter), frame, 2x hose reels (one side one back) and jobs a good un. Excellent wee van, if you are getting a pre-2014 one it NEEDS to be at least a 220 preferably a 230 or it's payload isn't going to be enough.
