pole hose instead of reel hose
« on: March 15, 2015, 09:27:01 pm »
Is there anyone using gardiner all season pole hose on their reel?
I previously used minibore, but then I bought a used hannay reel that already had some green unger pole hose on it. Now that I have got used to the thin diameter and the lightweight of it, I can't go back to mini or microbore.

Now I could get some more of this green hose but the only thing I don't like about it is the slight elasticity of it.  Hence the question about the all season hose.

The unger hose has lasted a few years so I'm ok with the durability.  There is one section that the outer plastic has worn away but still no leaks.

And this stuff also doesn't stay curly even on the coldest day

normal standard yellow microbore is light enough to use 100m on your reel.i can imagine pole hose would coil /kink  more.
price higher/work harder!

I use 50 metres of Aquadapter red pole hose on my reel. It's very durable and i've used it for a few years but I am now looking for something with less memory, as it does coil. Any ideas would be good.
