Cleaner planner debt list texting
« on: February 10, 2015, 08:40:45 am »
Had a look at some screen shots of cleaner planner and noticed debt list shows days due which I like.

Question is ..... is it possible to say click on debt to send a reminder text to customer in one simple click ?

also how are the texts paid for ?

You can do that, yes.

It's paid through text local.

Stop thinking about it. Just do it.

Thanks Soupy and hi Ian - yes, the texting facility is powered by Textlocal (www.textlocal.com), you set up an account with them and link it to your Cleaner Planner account (I can walk you through this, it's very straightforward) you can then select a debt and click "Send SMS" to send a chase message. CP remembers the last text you sent so you only need to adapt it a bit (if at all) for each customer. You can also send out a bulk text to multiple customers with a couple of clicks if you prefer. The texting is also very powerful on the "Worksheets" tab where you can easily send out a "cleaning your windows tomorrow" text to all customers on the worksheet who are marked as "remind day before". You purchase text credits directly from Textlocal, standard price is 4.9p but I've negotiated a 20% discount for Cleaner Planner customers so your rate would be 3.9p. Any further questions just give me a shout :) My email is rob@cleanerplanner.com

Hi Rob.  Why does it need to use an external text service rather than the free texts I get through my phone package?

Thanks in advance, Tom

You can use your phone to text from the mobile app if you want. The text local option can be done from the pc app, which is easier for bulk texts.

i just text a few customers here and there for free from the mobile app worksheet(for access  the night before).

for debts i look at debtlist on main program on my laptop and once the debt hits 14 days outstanding i send a text reminder on phone.simple. ;)
price higher/work harder!

Some customers that are due to be cleaned on a Monday need to be texd on the Sunday. Now Sunday evening i may go for a meal, cinema or just polish my Ferrari. If i text them early say 4pm. Most gates get forgotten about. I have found the sweet spot to be 7pm for me. So with the texting service via CP i set the texts to be sent at 7pm.

Last time i did this was a Sunday and i was in the cinema. It's just one less hassle to sort out. Especially in the winter. I am usually done with work by 5pm. I don't want to then have to text people at 7pm :)
