Web site updated - some feedback please
« on: February 05, 2015, 12:58:31 pm »
Hi,
Haven't been on here for a while due to moving house and breaking my frickin wrist, grrr. I've updated my website and would be really grateful if I could get some feedback. www.cornwallwindowcleaning.co.uk
Glad to be back in the game after a couple of months away!
Cheers.

put top writing in white as well,  make them standout.
blue is a bit too dark to see the black writeing

Lose the ~~~~~ on the header on 'home'
The commercial page needs changing IMO. It's overly wordy. Sounds more like a paragraph in a novel than on a site.
And you could do with some commercial pics.
Also, put the height you clean to. (If you clean to height)
Agree, white header would look clearer.

Nice feel to the site. I like it.

It's just the internet. Try not to worry.

Cheers, was thinking that about the header being a bit brighter, it sort of get's lost.
Appreciate the honest feedback.

The middle section(dark blue) is too dark for me, other wise seems nice

I would change the hotmail email addy, looks a bit dodge. There are lots o free email addys that end in .biz .net .com etc they will look a bit more pro than hotmail.

A few bits (may have already been said above, (I hope this comes across as to the point and not picky :))

assuming you have creative control of the site (although it looks like you are using squarespace)

1) find an HTML header module online and use that for your page links on each page, underlined text tends not to look as good.

2) Empty blank space at the bottom, look for <p></P at the end of your code and remove them.

3) Your hosting package should provide you with a free domain based email address, hotmail ones never look good.

4) Commercial page a bit wordy but not necessarily bad, I would justify the text (anything about insurance?)

5) Payment page could actually have the details of the ways to pay, not just list them

Hope this helps!

I thought it looked good. I'm scared to update mine as all the text started disappearing, I've got one more page of text still missing when it's back I might ask for some criticism.

There should be an option for you to work on the site without it changing online then when it's ready just hit the go live option. All depends who you use though I guess.
