Done a few now just using pure water but need to rinse a lot to get rid of dirty marks left by water droplets. Have another extending pole with screw on plate but can't get anything to fit on which I can dry gutters with...would make it much quicker. Any ideas ?

Why are you trying to dry gutters?

I find the soffits with the stupid breather panels in, wfp them as normal, do the whole house, then as the final job run round with one last pass of a dry brush to catch the dirty drops.
Let the customer know there may be some leakage and to call if they felt they needed to.

Get to the end, shake off the brush and run along the FSGs. This just about does it. From the ground they'll usually look good enough. If you get water running out of vents even after brushing, stick a microfibre on the brush and wipe.

Oh, stick some chemical in your water.
Splash of TFR or suchlike will make your job much easier.

This is what I also do. Totally agree with Mr. Pole.
If you need / want to save yourself some elbow grease, you could try using Virosol, it's effective, biodegradable and user friendly. Just apply neat on your brush or diluted in water from a bucket using your brush. Or use a sprayer.

Thanks for replies.  As for using virosol or tfr, does it take long to wash any splashes off windows?

You don't need to waste pure water on fsg cleans mate. Hook up to your custies outside tap.

No Steve, just give them a scrub and rinse them down, jobs a good 'en.
On new cleans if frames are a bit dirty I'll use Virosol to clean them up first time round, gets them all shiny, frames and glass. So, Virosol on my brush, neat, then scrub on frame and glass, do tips and bottom one side. Go back to start, scrub with water on, rinse off. Next.  After I've done all house, go round with my normal glass brush, quick clean off glass and rinse. Virosol is  great stuff.
Others on here may do it with other cleaners, tfr etc.

yes from the ground they may look good enough, but close up they don't look good at all, i much prefer doing off of  a ladder, bucket attatched to ladder with soapy water and non scratch scourer, and dry off with scrim as i go along.
i find it a lot quicker than messing around with pole and a  better job at the end of it aswell

i`ll only pole it if i cant reach it by hand off of ladder perhaps above a large conny etc

I use a thing called a 'towel turban' (women use them to dry their hair).
Fits perfectly over the brush, takes two seconds to fit and wipes the undersides of gutters lovely.

Never heard of towel turban before, thanks . as to customer satisfaction they've always been impressed... much more than I have. Prefer using wfp as custies pipes too powerful and water goes everywhere although great on a conny roof especially in hot weather
