How to p a customer off :)
« on: March 10, 2015, 07:15:37 am »
Got this email from a custy

Dear Mark,

I am writing to let you know that we are once again disappointed that our windows have not been cleaning in accordance with the agreement with Whitbreads Window Cleaning.  On several occasions recently the sky lights in the ground floor extension have remained uncleaned.  Due to their postion and location within the house this is extremely noticeable and has been point out previously.  I am also aware that windows on the side of the house are frequently missed  most noticeably the high window to the side of the front door.

I would be grateful if these over sights would be corrected on your next visit.

Good Evening Mrs Weighill-smith,

I have never been made aware before that you have been dissapointed with our service or that we have ever missed anything on your property, to my knowledge everything that has been agreed gets cleaned Including all 3 skylights at the back and all side windows all but the back door currently as it is covered over. It has not been mentioned to myself that the skylights have been missed, However to ensure that they have been and are being done I popped by today and checked them and re cleaned them from what I could see they were clean but the insides of them have a lot of saw dust and dirt on, I also  got the ladder off and checked the side top window and I think the reason it appears that its not being cleaned is the double glazed unit on the right hand side has failed as has the small window down below it as well (has condensation trapped in the middle of the unit).  We take great pride in our work and always want our customers to be 100% satisfied with our service. We always check that all windows have been done before leaving every property and I run frequent spot checks on the guys work at random to ensure everything is being done as it should be, if this is not the case and you believe something has been missed then please let me know within 48 hours of the clean.  If you would like a quotation for cleaning the inside windows including the inside of the skylights please let me know.

Dear Mark

Please consider the contract terminated

I Love it when we lose a bad customer :(  ;D

HaHa classic.

Is it just me or do double barrelled names just mean trouble?

I had one last year just on the run up to Xmas. "You just have todo my windows, I am a big deal in the village"

Well Mrs trouble-plonker. You have so far failed to pay 3 window cleaners. We do talk you know! Phoned slammed down. Hahahaha.

I think your reply is professional and polite. The only reason you were cancelled is because the woman is a nut.

She's not a nut, she's just an old bag!

But "contract"?

70% ish of my work is commercial and there's no contract. If I was to ask my few domestics to sign a contract they'd laugh in my face.

xxxxxxxxx

over your last few visits we have noticed that the windows are not as
clean as they were when you used the traditional method of cleaning, the
velux windows don't even look like they have been cleaned. Could you
please revert back to the old method to see if this makes a difference.
Also can you please clean the front gutters on your next visit
many thanks

xxxxxxxx

Hi xxxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry for the late reply. Had issues with email servers.
When you say the windows are not as clean as they used to be. Is it just
the velux windows or all the windows?
Kind Regards
Damien

All really.

Lots have water droplet.marks on them. The patio door is very streaky.
Hiya.

Been round today.

The streaks are inside the glass on the sides.  I would say the glass has probably blown or is faulty. I can show you that.

Velux windows are some of the best I have seen. They are really spotty (fly spots?) on the inside though. Considering we cleaned windows 2 ish weeks ago.

No evidence of spotting on the outside from the system. They are generally dirty because at the moment we are experiencing strong winds and it is naturally windy at the top end of xxxxxxxxxx

However :) more than happy to re clean them this week. We can double check together the issues though.

I split a ladder up to go over gate. So no damage etc done by me climbing over.
Kind Regards
Damien

Thanks for checking. Sorry i didnt leave the gate open- i didnt see the email.
Thanks for clarifying what the problems are.
I will check glazing with r glazier.
No need to redo.

no way Jose
