Unger ErgoTec Squeege Handle
« on: January 28, 2015, 07:09:08 pm »
Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is an adaptor that will link my above squeegee handle to a resineck Gardiner angle adapter please?

We are cleaning large interior windows at around 35' and am finding my old Unger Teleplus ali pole has too much flex at this height. It would be good if I could adapt my slx40 to do this as it is much more rigid.

Thanks Darran,

I already have the plastic angle adaptor that in my case screws onto the pole adaptor.
This is what I've got

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/goosenecks-pole-fittings/plastic-gooseneck-system/resi-neck-trade-screw-on-type-2.html

I now need another adaptor that will screw onto the brush holder end of the angle adaptor that will go inside the handle of my Squeegee.

Unger make these to suit their Teleplus ali pole.

So what I want is the cone shaped fitting but with a female thread adaptor on the other end.
So like this but with a female end adaptor rather than a male adaptor.

The ideal would be to thread the push in end of this cone with a thread, what ever size it is, so it will screw on directly to the end of my Gardiner pole.

Just so I have got this correct,  your pole has the tapered thread on the number 1 section - this is the older bonded in insert not the newer insert that you unclamp so you can use Carbon goosenecks also you want something to screw on the end of the pole but will fit the green unger thingy  ;D

If that's correct I'll have a look at my fittings, I have some of these, I also recall using one on a pole but I'll have to look and see what I did  :-\

Thanks Darren.

Yes, I still have a couple of poles with the bonded in insert. Its only my 'latest' pole that has the clamp on the first section so the thread adaptor can be clamped in rather than bonded in. The pole came with a resinek angle adaptor but I added the old threaded adaptor to the order as I needed to add my Aquadapter to the end, a practice that Alex disapproves of.  ;D
