Am all commercial, so you just have to get on with it, I wouldn't  be happy if my staff phoned and questioned the weather

I still have to go out an am first out an last home so it's a case of work quick and keep warm.

Absolute nightmare when windows freeze over tho and in this case there's nothing I can do

In a nutshell they are employed on 'flexi' time basis, if weather interrupts a day's work they get paid for the hours worked, catch up later in the week or Saturday.

If you do a search you'll find loads more interesting threads

I Pay my lot £1000.00 pcm, plus commission. That way they are guaranted that much a month if the weather is bad. They normally earn about £1500.00 to £2000.00 per month

Contract 40 hours per week, we only stop when we can't safely work. The last time that happened was in 2010 when we had all that snow.
