i love hot water but i find if its above a certain temp the brush becomes a bit flimsy . i wondered if it'll be better to use a stiffer brush i currently use gardiner medium . any recommendations?

You got it , stiff for hot , medium mix for cold .
Brush lasts longer too , even if cold only

I gotta admit, im all about the bristles. My favourite brush for hot water cleaning is........gardiner flocked superlite.  This is my personal choice after years of constant hot water use. I have a selection of brushes , but i favour this one brush over all the stiff bristle brush.

Stop using your brush like with cold water, let the brush do the work.

Gonna throw a spanner in the works here... I have always used Gardiner mixed Sill brushes for all cold work and stiff for roofs, FSG etc.. Alex recommended that the stiff would be better for hot water..

Having followed his recommendation I don't agree. My Stiff brush bristles went all over the place after a week and interfered with the jets.. A real pain in the arse.. I switched back to the medium last week and its fine... It has retained its shape well, even at over 60 degrees.

Also bought a phoenix lightweight which apart from being a bit weird going back to a rectangular brush head is a little heavier than the gardiner sill brush but it is a bloody good brush and the bristles hold their shape well.
