Wayne I have experienced the same problem today and have a TDS of 000, I cleaned my property last thing yesterday
and in full sun this morning the windows where covered in fine spotting.
The strange thing is when I cleaned them the stormy weather had eased off and there was only a slight breeze, cant
work it out at all.
Cant blame the sun as they where cleaned in cloudy conditions.

Still a lot of dust in the air. I think it takes a day or two atleast after stormy conditions for things to settle down.

I will work with 010ppm but not above.
I've had slight spotting at 015ppm and 017ppm in the past.
On both occasions the spotting was only slight and at the BOTTOM OF THE GLASS!
I think this was because of the cumulative effect of droplets dripping into each other and settling near the bottom of the pane.
If the spotting is all over the window my guess would be that is down to a lack of rinsing rather than a slightly elevated ppm.

Why do guys put any sort of spotting down to TDS, Wayne you said it was bad spotting so that's your first clue
you wont get bad spotting with a TDS of 10ppm full stop.
Its either something you have done like not put enough water on the glass to remove all the dirt or its weather related.
I would say its weather related as the air will be full of crap with all the storms lately and landing on the wet glass.

There's dust when it's dry.

The sun will show up even a little spotting as its the light reflecting the defective spots. So sun been light has not effect on spotting that a strong lamp would do. We do clean with with pure but remember the there will be unresolved solids on dirty glass and this will change the T D S of the first flush of water. But if to little water is present on the glass to flush these particles off the glass would also spot. All sun light would help do is to show these spots on the glass which would not show on the shade. So therefore sun is no relevancy at all.
By the pure nature of hydrophobic glass would be more inclined to spot due to the droplet forming corrector of the glass were  hydrophilic glass will not draw dirt into droplets forming spots.
The factors effecting the cleaning will be many as we have no control over the environment in which we work.
All we can do is use the purest water and the cleanest equipment and exercise goo technical procedure.
