NCCA

As a member of the ncca i am able to use and advertise the logo . When you type in ncca on google there are lots of different ncca listings for example:-

http://www.ncca.org/

Which have an ncca logo of their own albeit an American Christian site . So what is there to stop a cc using  that logo and stating member of the ncca as most customers wouldnt know the differance    ???  or could the ncca still stop them from using it.

I like your train of thoughts, you devious man ;)

Apart from the NCCA logo, you would be in trouble using "National Carpet Cleaners Association" as both the name and the logo are registered.

Trading Standards would take an interest in you too as it would appear that you are trying to deceive the public that you were a member of the NCCA or even a member of the National Christian Counsellors Association. Trading Standards may have a double interest in you from the cleaning and counselling aspect.

And then, maybe the Counsellors Association may have registered both their name and logo internationally?

No matter what you do, you are tring to deceive, and there are laws, rules and regulations in force that would be used to protect the consumer and the "Brand Owners" too.

Nice try though.

And as you will be aware Tihson, we NCCA Members tend to be quite vigilant when it comes to reporting logo mis-use.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

I'd agree with you to a point John.  But to contradict that, there is enough value given to the NCCA Brand that we have a department which is specifically tasked with name and logo mis-use and works with trading Standards in all parts of the country.  This suggests that there are plenty of people who do value the name/logo, but just want to try to "get something for nothing"  You are also observant about existing members been a little "in the dark". But they pay their fees just to have the credibility of the name/logo and perhaps make a conscious decision to contribute financially to the betterment of our industry.  All members are informed regularly via the Newslink Magazine which is getting better and bigger all the time. We're taking the Technical Roadshows around the country to keep members and non members alike aware of industry developments. All members are invited to the AGM, and those who choose not to attend will have their own reasons for not doing so.  With all this activity going on, I'd like to suggest there are fewer members "in the dark" than in the past ;)

My appologies for taking your question slightly out of context.  I did realise that you had stated you were a member, but my response was intended as an open letter to all readers.  I didn't do to well at  English Grammar ::)

Safe and happy cleaning :)
