Shurfflo pump help

Hi all daft question does it matter which side my strainer goes on my pump as I've just reset my van out and help please thanks andy

Yes, it needs to be on the inlet side to stop crap going into the pump

As Tony said the strainer has to be before the inlet on the pump.
You can swap the pump from the down position and vice versa to achieve which side of the tank you require the pump inlet to be.

There's an arrow on the threaded inlet side connection Andy showing the direction of flow.

HI mate, whats the strainer for ? Is it to stop crap going into the pump or to stop crap going into your brush ? That will make a big difference to where you situate the strainer.
