Ionics System HELP Please
« on: January 01, 2015, 12:45:43 pm »
Hi All hoping someone on here has a ionic system that can help.

I have the thermo  pure system and the cold pump has stopped working don't know why as I haven't used it for a week went to switch back on and its not firing up all I get is a clicking noise but no pumping sounds I have taken the pump off the mount and now I have another problem the pipe keeps popping out of the pump I don't really know where to start with this problem as I have never dealt with this setup up and find it very tight to work in any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Marc

Check for power first. 2nd Are pipes frozen? If so start hot pump and run for half hour and that should thaw out others. 3. Check connections and swap the controllers around to see if other pump affected. Maybe the pump?? I have a spare ionics pump here..

What is your set up? One hot and one cold?? Ours is 3 pumps..

Thank you for that Richard I will try them on Monday.

I've checked power and its turning the pump on but just not pumping...definitely not frozen but think it may have frozen over the week when not being used and possibly split the membrane? how do you find there pumps usually?
I was thinking of switching it over to a surflo pump I have 1 "hot pump" and 1 cold what do you have 3 for? is it a 3 man set up? thank you for your help

I think Ionics use Aquatec pumps which are very good pumps. They just put their own label on and nearly double the price.
