Thanks Dave - I look forward to hearing from you.

I think the next best step would be to import your George data (only takes me 10 minutes) so you can have a proper look at the system and put it through it's paces. Hard to visualise how it could work for you without your jobs in there. Feel free to send your backup across when you're ready.

Tried it.

But some screens I clicked on pops up and disappeared.

I,e tried to create an invoice and the box pops up then goes.  and invoice is no where to be seen.

Also how do you set the starting invoice number on the setting?

Also did a test on a record and tried to change the completed date after I clicked as done.  This too popped up and disappeared, although I managed to correct this from the transaction tab and worked, but cannot action from the job file.

Hi Richy,

Customers and jobs a separate in Cleaner Planner. A customer has a unique reference number as does a job. If you have some customers with more than one job (e.g. extras or commercials) then you will have more jobs than you have customers, therefore your job refs will not be "in line" with your customer refs. This is as it should be.

E.g.

Cust 1 - Job 1
Cust 2 - Job 2
Cust 3 - Job 3
Cust 3 - Job 4

There you have 3 customers (ref 1-3) and 4 jobs (ref 1-4) because cust 3 has two jobs. Does that make sense?

If the "Job Ref" is causing confusion to your customers I suggest you hide it from the invoice (and only show the "Cust Ref") by going to the "Settings > Invoicing" tab and unchecking "Show Job Reference".

Hi Paul - Please can you try this again? There was a small issue (popups closing) there following a recent update which I believe I've now fixed. Please can you confirm?

Once the "Edit Invoice" window is showing for you, if you set your first invoice number to your starting number (i.e. last invoice number from previous software + 1) the system will pick up from there.
