Contacting previous customers
« on: April 20, 2006, 11:52:42 pm »
Hi all,

I'm just wondering how's best to contact old existing customers. I always leave a few business cards with each customer.

Does anyone offer a discount on their cards for future bookings to entice them back or friends / family?

I've thought about ringing them, sending letters / Christmas cards etc but would be interested to hear from other peoples tried and tested methods for getting the repeat business if they mislay your card or just simply need reminding of your excellent services!

Any comments appreciated, if you'd rather email me then please do to info@dirt-busters.co.uk

Kind regards,
Jason.

I left 300 calendars to previous customers and jobs done at xmas. Also send out reminder cards every month to previous customers ( cards are great....they have a cartoon on the front....really popular and available from Trade Print Warehouse )

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the feedback. I like the sound of the calendars, doesn't sending out reminders to others once a month cost a small fortune? If so does it work?

Kind regards,
Jason.

A quick courtesy call after the job to make sure they are happy, youll find a lot will ask you to quote on other items as well as say my friend, mum, auntie etc may be interseted, get there number and ring them, also good for your ego been told how good your job was over the last spit and polish guy they used.

Sugest when finishing the job that you will give them a ring in 6 months and see if they need further work, this is great as you can then plan your calls around your existing work, arrange to do 2 jobs close together, poss offer a slight incentive to get them to have it done while you are working in their area.
